1

Customer focus

We make our clients feel more than just a number and it’s important to us to get to know the individual(s) behind the business.

2

Personable approach

We want to break that accounting stereotype and offer friendly, approachable and thoughtful support where we can.

3

Being the experts

We understand that not all our clients are accounting experts and don’t expect them to know all the rules and regulations. Our approach to questions is calm, helpful and never judgmental.

4

Staff training and development

Keeping up-to-date with accounting changes is important in every accounting firm. Opportunities to further knowledge and refresh skills are sought and offered to both develop our staff and improve our offering to clients.

Isobel Chaplin

Accountant & Owner

IJC Finance was founded in 2019 by Isobel.

Isobel has been working in finance since early 2004, starting her corporate career in Sales Ledger for a large national company and with her final position as Finance Manager for a company which was part of an international group. She has gained significant and varied experience in the corporate accounting sector including foreign currency transactions and building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.

Isobel trained and became a chartered certified accountant under the ACCA in 2010, but resigned her membership at the end of 2019 to join the AAT. She is fully licensed by the AAT to offer an extensive selection of accounting services, and is highly focused on continual professional development and keeping an eye on the latest regulations and announcements in the industry. From 2024 she is also has membership of the IFA as a Financial Accountant and Tax Adviser.

Isobel’s skills mean that she is able to help businesses with all tasks from bookkeeping and analysis through to full sets of accounts and taxation.

In her spare time she loves dance, music (having studied Music Technology at university!) and dressmaking, as well as makeup artistry – which is something that brings out her more colourful and creative side. Family is very important, which is why Isobel understands the need to make your business run as efficiently as possible to free up that precious time we all desire. She is married and has a young daughter who likes to keep her on her toes!

Lucy Woods

Senior Accountant

Lucy joined the team in October 2021 with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the world of accounting as an ACCA qualified accountant. She has been working in practice since 2000 and has spent many years supporting small businesses and meeting business owners and is keen to live the company’s mission.

As well as being a whizz with numbers, Lucy loves time with her own young family and has a creative side with sewing and design.

Olga Pavlova

Bookkeeper & Payroll Officer

Olga joined the team in July 2023 with experience in industry and running a business, and is working towards her AAT qualifications. She is a dab hand at photography and is fluent in Lithuanian and Russian amongst other talents!

Sabrina Chamberlain

Bookkeeper

Sabrina has been with us since March 2024 and is studying her AAT qualifications. Outside of work, she enjoys a busy family life.

Jennifer Swift

Accounting Administrator

Jennifer is the newest member of the team, joining us in November 2024, and she has a passion for helping our clients and supporting the team in equal measure.

After considering for some time that we wanted to be able to give something back to the wider community, and thinking about what was important to Isobel and her family’s values, IJC Finance has chosen to support Magic Moments Charity with all that they do to help children with life limiting illnesses and their families.

The charity is dedicated to helping children from supported hospices and their families on annual trips to Disneyland Paris. Any additional funds in the charity pot are used to provide vital equipment, electrical appliances, hoists to lift the children in and out of their beds or baths, and toys for the hospices.

We will be supporting by donating funds each time we prepare a tax return for our clients, and there is the option for you to add in if you’d also like to make a contribution.

You can find more about the charity on their website and Facebook page and read all about the fundraising they do and how you can help.

We look forward to being able to make a difference and supporting these families at what must be a very heartbreaking time, and helping them to have fun and enjoy their time together away from the stress of the day to day.
